Ants

Ants is a new work-in-development that brings human-sized ants into a public site for a mix of roving performance and large scale interaction with children and their adults. At first the ants patrol the pavements and corners, carrying giant food and making friends until they converge on a public space drawing a crowd with them.  

A treasure hunt begins as the families seek out huge ant eggs hidden in the surrounding area.  The eggs gradually pile up in a place the ants have chosen as the new nest and children arrange and play with them in an unending cycle of industrious activity. Finally, the ants celebrate with the children as the last of the eggs are found, before scurrying away to safety.
