Rod Puppet Workshop
Using easily accessible and environmentally friendly materials such as cardboard, stockings and fabric, each child creates their own individual character which moves in line with its own personality. Students learn about the design and manipulation of the puppet, and are encouraged to think about its character – how it talks, moves and interacts with the world around it. The workshop culminates in a short presentation, where the kids show off their puppet to the rest of the group.
